![]() ![]() ![]() I configured my apps to be themed as System Default rather than explicitly light or dark mode, so when I click the menu bar app, my browser, code editor and terminal, etc all turn to light mode and I lower the brightness. I've been using this menu bar app called Nightfall to switch between light and dark mode, it essentially does the same thing as the toggle inside System Preferences. My MacBook has a miniLED screen so theoretically, the high brightness dark mode should not take up too much battery as the regions should not be backlit, but I'm not sure how much of an effect that has. When I say dark mode, I mean my wallpaper is black, my websites are black (I use a browser extension called Dark Reader which makes every site dark gray / black), my code editor and terminal are black, etc. I tried to use low brightness and dark mode but text is too unreadable since it's so dark.
